The solicits grant proposals from teachers working within the Public Schools. A committee of members selects proposals, which appear to have benefit for the largest number of public school students possible. Grant monies are contributed to the Public Schools for implementation of the selected proposals. Grant monies received from corporate organizations may be earmarked for specific programs such as health and environmental education. Such grants are contributed to the Public Schools for expenditure on the specific program.
